April 4, 2025 - The 2025 Maritime race season gets  underway on May 10, 2025.  The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series kicks off the season with their first 150 lap race at Speedway 660 in the Geary woods near Fredericton, NB and we'll be track side with everything you need to communicate, listen and enjoy the show live.

NEWS

October 18, 2024 - Jarrett Butcher #54 secured his first East Coast International Pro Stock Tour Championship last Sunday in the fourth attempt to get the race in at Riverside International Speedway to close out the season.  He finished second in the Scotia Diesel 155 and had the championship wrapped up after starting his heat race.  Greg Proude #29 finished his racing career in style winning the race and going out on top in his final race with his own race team.  Congratulations to Greg and Jarrett on reaching those milestones.

October 9, 2024 - Jarrett Butcher #54 grabbed his third win of the season and his first ever at Petty Raceway last Sunday afternoon in the Mr. Lube + Tires 150 for round 9 of 10 on the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour.  It was an excellent race with a strong 19 team field and boasted 11 lead changes.

October 9, 2024 - Congratulations to Russell Smith Sr. #44 Sportsman who became the 2024 track Champion at Scotia Speedworld following the Halifax 300 on Saturday.  Chad Sinton #7 won rookie of the year in the competitive Sportsman division.

September 23, 2024 - Ashton Tucker #2 got his first win this season in East Coast International Pro Stock Tour competition last Saturday at Scotia Speedworld in the Tirecraft 200.  Greg Proude #29 in his last start at Scotia Speedworld and 200th on the Tour led the most laps but had to settle for 2nd followed by Russell Smith Jr. #88 in third place.

September 19, 2024 - The weather was great and the crowds were strong for the Mike Stevens Memorial weekend at Petty Raceway last weekend.  Friday nights 104 lap Sportsman feature was won by Deven Smith #94.  Saturdays 254 lap feature for Super Late Model Pro Stocks was won by Cory Hall #83.

September 10, 2024 - After 22 laps of the Superior Foundations 100 at Scotia Speedworld last Friday night the weather moved in and that was it for the weekend.  The rain on Saturday forced postponement of the Scotia Diesel 155 on the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour at Riverside Speedway to Thanksgiving weekend, October 12.

September 4, 2024 -  Now that was a stock car race!  Speedway 660's 24th annual Speedweekend ran last Friday, Saturday and Monday.  The Yard Gear 250 on Monday afternoon saw history made as Ashton Tucker #2 became the first ever 4 time winner of the event.  It was an excellent and exciting race with  long green flag runs, no competition cautions, spectacular crashes and lots of lead changes among 6 drivers.  Congratulations Ashton!  Michael Cormier #68 took the Street Stock event on Friday.  Drew Greenlaw #23 finally succeeded in winning the Riverview Ford 150 for Sportsman on Saturday and Tristan Harris #7 was a first time winner on the Atlantic Modified Tour on Monday afternoon.

August 28, 2024 - Last weekend was historic as a rebuilt River Glade Speedway roared back to life for its 60th anniversary with ceremonies, presentations and memories along with 3 days of racing.  Thursday's Pro Stock feature saw Mike Rodgers #41 win it all with time trials, heat race and feature victories.  Friday's Street Stock event saw Michael Cormier #68 take the main feature.  On Saturday, Brady Creamer #10 started 4th, moved to the front, led most of the 100 laps and take the checkers followed by Dave O'Blenis #48 in second and Ken MacKenzie Sr. #85 in third.

August 20, 2024 - Last weekends Easy-Kleen SLMS championship was decided by the win.  Ashton Tucker #2 is the new SLMS Champion after winning his heat race, starting from the Pole winning the EIT Race Radios Pole Award and leading all 150 laps to take the checkers over Cory Hall #83 who had as many points as Tucker at the end of the race but lost on the tiebreaker with Tucker having more wins on the season.  Congratulations Ashton!

August 13, 2024 - The Summer Clash 250 at Scotia Speedworld ran last Sunday due to wet weather on Saturday and it was a war of attrition with many top contenders experiencing race ending mechanical issues in the first 100 laps.  The result was a first time winner on the Tour - Austin MacDonald #13 added his name to the Scott Fraser Memorial Cup.  Congratulations to Austin, Rollie and the whole team.

August 6, 2024 - The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series ran round 5 of 6 at Oyster Bed Speedway on Saturday evening and Cory Hall #83 was the class of the field setting fastest lap times and taking the win over EIT Race Radios Pole Award winner Greg Proude #29 finishing second and Robbie MacEwen #40 third.  

July 31, 2024 - The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour was at it again last weekend with the BJ's Truck Center 150 at Oyster Bed Speedway in Oyster Bed Bridge, PEI.  Robbie MacEwen #40 finally got the feature win leading the most laps and being in the right place at the right time as Nicolas Naugle #08 and Cory Hall #83 took each other out in the closing laps battling for the win.

July 30, 2024 - It was a record setting weekend at Riverside Speedway on July 19 and 20 for the IWK 250. Craig Slaunwhite #99 made his first start on the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour this season and came away with the big prize finishing first over Jarrett Butcher #54 in second and Ashton Tucker #2 rounding out the podium in 3rd place.  Slaunwhite also claimed the inaugural Hanley Cup setting fast time in time trials with time of 14.160 seconds.  On Friday night Dylan Dowe #51 earned his first ever feature win in the NAPA/Henry's AutoPro 100 Maritime Allstar Series Sportsman race.

July 16, 2024 - The 60th anniversary of the oldest stock car race in Canada, the River Glade International ran last Saturday at Petty International Raceway.  Cory Hall #83 was the class of the field. He was fastest in time trials and started from the pole in the first 81 lap portion of the split 160 leading every lap to victory.  In the second 79 lap segment at the end of the night the field was inverted but Cory was able to power through the field and regain the lead to finish 1st a half lap ahead of second place Darren MacKinnon #18 and third place Lonnie Sommerville #23.  On the Sportsman side Kenny Mackenzie Jr. pulled double duty running the Street Stock feature first and finishing second but winning an emotional 100 lap Sportsman feature to get his name engraved on the big trophy joining his father Kenny Sr.

July 10, 2024 - Rain moved everything at Petty Raceway to Sunday again for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series but with a 2:00 pm start and a beautiful day all 6 classes ran and were finished before sundown.  After 150 laps and just one caution, the checkers flew it was the same podium as the first race this season at Petty.  Ashton Tucker #2 wins another one over Cory Hall #83 and Robbie MacEwen #40.  Congrats to Robbie on winning his second EIT Race Radios Pole Award, the first driver to accomplish that in Series history.

July 2, 2024 - It was a crowded Saturday of racing at Riverside International Speedway as weather forced the move of Sunday's main feature to Saturday and Sunday support classes, the Hot Rod Classics and MASS Mini Stocks were postponed to a later date.  Saturday saw 2 150 lap features from the NASCAR Canada Series with a 150 green flag laps feature from the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour in between.  Kevin Lacroix #74 took both of the NASCAR features.  Danny Chisholm #89 won his first ever ECIPST feature at his home track.  Congratulations Danny!

June 25 - It was a good day for racing last Saturday with excellent conditions for the Nova Truck Centers 150 at Scotia Speedworld.  Nicholas Naugle #08 fought his way back through the field after an early incident with the Greg Proude #29 and took the checkers ahead of Jarrett Butcher #54 who pitted 3 times to adjust an ill handling race car and managed to make his way back to finish in second place.  For the MASS Sportsman, the Celtic Air Services 100 ended up like the Shriner's Classic from the previous weekend with Deven Smith #94 and his father Russell Smith Sr. #44 finishing 1st and 2nd.

June 17 - The Shriner's Classic Sportsman race drew 26 entries for the Friday night 75 lap feature at Scotia Speedworld.  Deven Smith #94 and his father, Russell Smith Sr. #44 were first and second when the checkers flew.  Deven tied Jeff Dillman's record of 4 Shriner's Classic wins.  With the reliable rain forecast for Saturday the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series race at Oyster Bed Speedway was moved to Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm and ran under sunny skies and pleasant temperatures.  Cory Hall #83 had the car to beat Sunday and took the checkers after leading all 150 laps.  Lonnie Sommerville #23 took his first EIT Race Radios Pole Award.  

June 11 - It was a promising start to the day last Saturday at Petty Raceway for the Mr. Lube and Tires 150 on the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour with only brief light showers slowing practice.  Heat races got underway with the Beginner Bandolero class getting their heat completed.  Bandoleros were next up and during cleanup of a first lap crash the rains moved in.  After several attempts to dry the track only to be hit with another brief rain shower we had to give it up to mother nature.  A make up date for the Petty race will be announced soon. 

June 6, 2024 - Round 2 of 6 for the Super Late Model Series went last Saturday at Speedway 660 and the result was no surprise as Ashton Tucker #2 came from the back of the field to take the checkers for the second SLMS race in a row this season.  Kent Vincent #8 took the EIT Race Radios Pole Award.

May 28, 2024 - The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour got its season underway last Saturday at Speedway 660 in the Geary Woods near Fredericton, NB.  Jarrett Butcher #54 got the win after a hard fought battle with Ashton Tucker #52 and a masterful pass with 2 laps to go ending Tucker's unbeaten streak reaching back to last season.  Cory Hall #83 came home in third but failed post race tech and was DQ'd.

May 21, 2024 - A wet forecast caused postponement of the Kenny U-Pull 150 on the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour last Saturday at Scotia Speedworld but we got some racing in on Sunday with the SSW local classes opening their season Sunday afternoon.  Deven Smith #94 won the 40 lap Maritime Auto  Glass Sportsman feature.

May 15, 2024 - Our track side season kicked off last Saturday at Petty Raceway with the Easy Kleen Super Late Model Series.  Ashton Tucker #2 continued his winning ways from last season and took the checkers in the Fog City Auto Spa 150.  Dennis Nickerson #78  won the Power Electric 100 feature for the AutoWorld Maritime All Star Series Late Model Sportsman.

EIT  Race Radios was established in 2002 as a supplier of radio communication equipment for motor sports race teams, officials and fans in Atlantic Canada and some New England States.  EIT Race Radios provides trackside service at select racing events every weekend during race season.
